Arthroscopic Capsular release

This procedure is performed to release severe pain caused by adhesive capsulitis which disturbs your daily activities. It has positive effects on those who have no significant improvement from conservative measures or who have severe adhesive capsulitis with trauma or diabetes complication.

Figure 1 is the anatomy of the glenoid cavity, surrounding ligaments, and glenoid labrum.

The procedure is done via arthroscopy, dividing the capsule tissue that surrounds the shoulder joint, allowing the shoulder to move more freely.
This procedure is efficient to improve shoulder mobility, and of course, physical therapy is necessary to help restore the full range of motion to the shoulder after the surgery.
